The CEO of the social network, Adam Mosseri, announced the appearance of paid subscriptions for posts, stories and live broadcasts on Instagram. Another bonus for donation is the opportunity to chat with the author in a group chat. Paid subscribers’ profiles will also receive a special purple badge that indicates support for the blogger.

A separate “subscriber home page” tab will appear on their Blogger profile, where paid subscribers can filter only the photos and stories available to them.

According to Mosseri, the platform aims to be “the best place on the internet for writers to make money.” The general manager noted that several bloggers have already managed to protest the paid subscription.

In addition, Instagram will soon be redesigned, including the appearance of a full-screen feed. It is expected to be especially popular with photographers.
