A few months ago, Google announced a unique development: Chrome OS Flexible, a special version of the operating system that allows it to be installed on all types of PCs and laptops based on Windows and macOS. The idea: Revive old computers with this lightweight operating system that also prevents malware attacks thanks to its unique operation.

Now this offering is exiting the beta phase it was born with, which means Google has already counted on it to run smoothly on many computers. They already have over 400 certificationsAlthough they do not have a certificate, many people state that it is possible to install this alternative without any problems.

Chrome OS on most computers

Google started testing Chrome OS Flex earlier in the year, and now those in charge state: More than 600 bugs fixed and claims that this operating system is ready to be installed on all types of PCs and laptops, including business and educational equipment.

Idea first of all take advantage of this on slightly older equipment. Google has released a list of over 400 certified computers running, including MacBooks from 10 years ago, as well as various laptops from manufacturers such as ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG or Toshiba.
