The ElectroLar exhibition is being held for the 15th time and took place after two years of absence due to the pandemic. In this edition, over 80% of exhibitors focused on ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance, in English) to keep the industry on a sustainable path, from the materials used to make products to packaging.

Consumers are increasingly looking for products that conserve natural resources and the environment. Therefore, it is important for the industry to modernize and adapt its plants and products to reduce energy consumption, water consumption, recycling and other initiatives.“Clur reports. “We will have multiple green seal product launches“.

More than 700 exhibiting brands participated in the event, bringing more than 10,000 products and nearly 2,000 launches to the fair. And this comes at a time when the sector is expecting a turn to retail. With expectations of a partial recovery in the second half of the year, the electronics and home appliances sector posted a 24% decline in retail sales in the first five months of 2022 compared to the same period last year.

We expect a modest recovery in the second half of the year, a time when our sector sees sales seasonality due to important retail dates such as Black Friday and Christmas. The Electrolar Show itself, with 13 out of 34 of our partners participating this year, i.e. twice as many participants as in the previous event in 2019, is a clear sign that our entrepreneurs are confident in themselves, despite the very difficult macroeconomic scenario.says Eletros Executive President Jorge Nascimento.
