In the first week, the Ministry of Digital Transformation received 71 applications from schools to participate in the IT Generation project.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Statistics reported this on Telegram.

“We received 71 applications from schools in the first week for the IT Belt project. If your school wants to participate in the project and teach IT to Ukrainians, we remind you under what conditions we consider applications.”

The Ministry of Statistics reported that the school must have a Ukrainian legal entity, classification of types of economic activity (KVED) 85.59 and/or a license for educational activity. If the school previously worked as an individual entrepreneur, but has recently registered with a legal entity, he must prove his current experience.

Non-profit organizations, legal entities registered in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation or whose beneficiaries reside in the Russian Federation, schools with a negative reputation in the educational services market cannot apply.

The full list of requirements for schools and education programs is published on the IT Generation website.

Those who want to participate in the project must apply and submit all necessary documents by 21 July. The final list of IT belt schools will be created by the end of July by the decision of the partners. Student selection is scheduled for the beginning of August.

The IT Generation project is implemented jointly with Binance Charity and Lviv IT cluster, with support from USAID program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” and “Digital, Inclusive, Accessible: Supporting the Digitization of Public Services in Ukraine”, by UNDP in Ukraine with support from Sweden implemented.

As Ukrinform reported on July 2, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that about 15,000 specialists are needed to meet the needs of the Ukrainian IT market in the next six months to a year.
