Microsoft is testing changes to the Windows 11 taskbar

One of the new features is a notification stamp for widgets.

When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft set a different plan for the operating system and continued to release two major updates per year. The same plan would be set for Windows 11, but the company eventually changed its mind and even confirmed that the system would only receive one major update per year.

now site information Windows Center point out that plans have changed again and that Microsoft will release new versions of Windows every three years. That being said, the update for Windows 11, currently codenamed Sun Valley 3, which will be released sometime in 2023, allegedly canceled and a new version of Windows is expected to be released in 2024.

The site also claims that Microsoft will make new features and functions available to Windows that are currently on the market to fill the gap between the release of new versions of the operating system – an initiative reportedly dubbed “moments“.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because something similar is already being tested by Windows Insiders with features such as a more dynamic widget bar or Updated taskbar with new search box. If a Windows Center right, users will be able to get new features and functionality up to four times a yearstarting from 2023

Many of the new features and functionality that were originally planned to be introduced in the Sun Valley Update 3, which was reportedly canceled as mentioned above, will now be available for Windows 11 with the Sun Valley Update 2 in the coming months.

As for the new version of Windows due out in 2024, nothing has been officially confirmed. The website says that this new version of the operating system is still in the planning stage and for now we have no way of knowing if it will hit the market as Windows 12 or under a different name. It is important to emphasize once again that Microsoft has not yet confirmed this information and the company’s plans may still change.
