The SpaceX Dragon automatic capsule successfully docked with the ISS and delivered 2,630 kilograms of equipment for the space orbital laboratory as part of the 25th cargo mission in this series.
As reported by Ukrinform, this is reported on the pages of the American publication “Space”.
“The SpaceX Dragon cargo capsule docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday, July 16, and provided more than 5,800 pounds (2,630 kilograms) of equipment for the orbiting laboratory. The Dragon self-propelled spacecraft was launched by a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Florida Space Center on the night of July 14. The Falcon 9 rocket delivered the Dragon capsule to low Earth orbit, after which its first stage returned and successfully landed on the SpaceX Shortfall of Gravitas unmanned spacecraft.”
As noted, the Dragon capsule’s docking with the ISS took place at an altitude of about 430 kilometers from the earth’s surface. This mission was the 25th cargo delivery operation to the ISS. The first such deliveries were made in 2012. This year, three cargo capsules were delivered to the ISS as part of the NASA program.
