O rover Perseverancewhich explores the Martian surface in search of signs of life, collected the 10th collection of material from the earth in Red Planet. This time perseverance he took the new stone, not as a pet, but to study the properties of the land that had once been a river delta in Jezero Crater. If there is life where there is water, then where there once was a river, there probably were at least microorganisms.

Perseverance rover to collect 38 more samples
The tenth soil sample, a pinky-sized rock, was placed in one of 43 test tubes in the lab. rover Perseverance, of which 38 will be filled with earth and other stones. Due to the limited number of pipes, the mission team carefully evaluates what soil will be drilled to collect the sample. The first sample was collected in September 2021, 7 months after landing perseverance. This new sample is the second to be collected from an ancient Martian river delta.

These samples (and others in the future) collected in a place where a river delta once existed will be of fundamental importance, in addition to the purpose of the study. perseverance search for traces of life, the future choice of the region where NASA and ESA will send a collect and return mission. Positive test result all-terrain vehicle can make the site a starting point for this project.
Rover Perseverance gets a new mission
These collection and return missions will mark a milestone in human history through two unique feats: the first collection and return of an interplanetary sample (not counting mars meteorites) and the first launch pad on a planet outside of Earth. Consequently rover Perseverance received a second goal – to find the best place in Jezero Crater to land and return to earth. You don’t know if this dry delta will be the best place, but NASA and ESA already have a rocket to send samples home, Mars ascent vehicle.
