Microsoft has announced the launch of the Surface Laptop Go 2 in Spain, a mid-range laptop that stands out for its lightness, autonomy and good finishes, and that the Redmond company is targeting mass consumption and the education sector.
Last December, we had the opportunity to analyze the first version of this model, and here we have the second generation, which retains many of its qualities, but with an important internal hardware updates with the eleventh generation of Intel Core processors at the helm, better integrated graphics performance and support for the latest connectivity standards such as Wi-Fi 6 or Bluetooth 5.2.
Microsoft’s own line of Surface hardware serves as a reference for its Windows partners and also collects very good sales data. The company takes special care of it even in cheaper equipment, and it retains the aluminum chassis (with polycarbonate resin with glass fiber in the base) at a weight of only 1.12 kg. Not bad at all considering its multi-touch screen 12.5-inch Pixel Sense with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1536 x 1024 pixels for a maximum brightness level of 330 nits.
The engine of the Surface Laptop Go 2 is the processor Intel Core i5-1135G7, as we said above with a significant increase in performance compared to the original model. It has a similar selection of ports, with USB Type-C and Type-A and Microsoft’s patented connector for recharging the battery, which promises 13.5 hours of autonomy. It features a 3.5mm headphone jack on an active audio system with two high-sensitivity dual far-field Studio Mics and Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
It also has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, an improved HD webcam with an IR sensor (in some configurations) to improve security with facial recognition and Windows Hello connectivity, and of course support for the Windows-required TPM chip. 11 operating system that comes pre-installed.
The Surface Laptop Go 2 is available now in the Microsoft Store at retail price €669 in basic equipment with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD. Microsoft offers two other configurations up to 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The official store offers free expedited shipping, 60-day returns or 90-day free support, plus special pricing (10% off) for eligible students, parents, and teachers.
The Microsoft Store also has various bundles for this laptop, a 15-month subscription to Microsoft 365 for the price of 12 and a 20% saving on optional accessories such as mice, stands or audio accessories, and up to 50% on a wide range of cases and covers. .
The new Microsoft laptop is also available in the Spanish retail channel if you want to buy it there.
