The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided 5,000 Starlink satellite terminals to the Government of Ukraine.

According to the news of Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by the US Embassy in Ukraine.

“Based on a public-private partnership with Space X, USAID has provided the Ukrainian government with 5,000 Starlink satellite terminals that will provide Internet access and unrestricted access and data transmission from anywhere in the country,” the mission said. Said.

The embassy stressed that thanks to the satellite terminals, government officials and services providing critical services to citizens can maintain contacts within Ukraine and with the outside world during Russian aggression.

As Ukrinform reports, SpaceX founder Elon Musk has accepted a request from the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and satellite internet access.

Elon Musk activated Starlink services for Ukraine in February and started supplying terminals.

Earlier, the media reported that the US government will provide financing and delivery of 5,000 Starlink Internet terminals from SpaceX’s Ilona Maska to Ukraine.
