Last Friday (15th) Apple Music began Apple Music Sessions, exclusive live releases featuring established and emerging artists, all on Spatial Audio. Performances are also filmed, resulting in a special personalized collection of new tracks from Spatial Audio and live music videos exclusively available to Apple Music fans.

Apple Music Sessions is a reimagining of this initiative, officially launched with songs from country artists. Carrie Underwood and Tenille Townsrecorded at Apple Music’s new state-of-the-art studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carrie Underwood and her performances
During his performance, Underwood performed his hit “Ghost Story” as well as a stripped-down version of “Blown Away” and a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mama, I’m Coming Home”.
According to the artist, it was a lot of fun to rethink the songs and present them in a different way. An Ozzy Osbourne fan, Underwood says he’s always wanted to cover his favorite song. To her, “Mom, I’m Going Home” sounds like a country song, and it was an opportunity to recreate it.
Tenille Towns was also featured
Country singer-songwriter Tenille Towns performed her hits “Same Road Home” and “Somebody’s Daughter” as well as a gritty and soulful cover of Etta James’ “At Last”.
She chose “Same Road Home” because she loves the song’s idea that we’re more and more alike than we often think. “Finally,” according to Townes, is the song that defines her as a writer and singer.
Apple plans to expand the series to other music genres in the future. Additional information is available on the Apple website.
