The State Special Communications and Information Protection Service warns of a new cyberattack using a malicious hacker program.

This is reported on the department’s Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

It was noted that the state computer emergency response team CERT-UA, operating within the body of State Private Communications, warned about the distribution of a dangerous file named “Report0507224.ppt”. Contains a miniature image that speaks of the “South” operational command.

“Opening the document will eventually lead to the execution of the AgentTesla malicious theft program on the computer and information theft,” the State Intelligence Service said.

Experts assume that the cyberattack was aimed at Ukrainian government entities.

As reported by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian Federation has carried out 796 cyberattacks on Ukraine, which is three times more than in the same period last year.
