Mark Zuckerberg has launched a new mapping feature directly on Instagram. It is essentially a power mod Discover Instagram posts anywherevisually and without having to search for the exact location as before.

The new Instagram map goes beyond showing you posts from an area and also Search in restaurants, cafes, hotels and other points of interest. Thus, in a certain way, it becomes a new way to explore places around you or just to see what is going on in a certain area.

How to access Instagram map

Instagram has a map, although there is no direct way to access it, at least for now. In its place, There are two ways to enter the Maps section Instagram: from a story and a search.

from a story, you need to find a story with a location tag. Button layout is displayed when tapped see location. Tap on it and the map opens at that location.

After opening the map, you can move it to another area or tap the location icon This will come in handy if you want to search for businesses in your Area in the top right corner to jump straight to your location or just want to see what your neighbors are posting.

if you prefer view as a list, you’ll have the same places when you open the bottom panel, but in a list showing the name, type of place, and three photos they recently posted. If the place has a published story, you can check it directly by tapping their profile picture.

You can move the map to another location at any time and search in this areait will create a new place list for you and you will be able to see the name and current weather of that place.

When performing a search, you can filter the visible results by specific categories: restaurants, cafes, attractions, hotels, parks and gardens and bars. So you can use Instagram to find places of interest around you – or in a particular place – and see what your previous visitors have shared.
