Samsung has another Android beta program running behind closed doors. We learned about the One UI 5.0 internal beta for the Galaxy S22 series a few weeks ago, and now it looks like Samsung has released the One UI 4.1.1 firmware beta for the Galaxy S21 Ultra in the UK.
A UI 4.1.1 update has been detected by the user redditversion includes firmware G998BXXU5DVGA. However, no one outside of Samsung’s trusted circle can download and test this One UI 4.1.1 beta firmware on their Galaxy S21 Ultras. Everyone will have to wait for the One UI 4.1.1 public beta program to launch before anyone can test the previous version of Samsung’s firmware.
One UI 4.1.1 is based on Android 12L and is set to launch with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Foldable phones will appear on the Unpacked stage on August 10. It will be interesting to see what the Android 12L update brings to Galaxy S21 Ultra users as it focuses on multitasking and performance features for big-screen devices like the Galaxy Z Fold series.
The Galaxy S21 series comes with Android 11 and is eligible for four major Android OS updates. It is very likely that Samsung will see Android 12L as one of them, which means that the last update of the Galaxy S21 OS could be Android 14 instead of 15.
