At the end of March, the Korean company Samsung announced the launch of a program that will allow users to repair the most popular smartphone and tablet Galaxy models. Google is now launching a similar program.
The company works with the iFixit team, a well-known online repair community, to provide the official components. The program will start working towards the end of the year. It will cover Google’s branded smartphones, from Pixel 2 to Pixel 6 Pro. Users are promised “full-range” components such as batteries, cameras, and displays. They can be purchased separately or together with iFixit Fix Kits.
The program will launch in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and European countries where Pixel phones are officially sold. Source
