O Google announced the arrival Google Wallet to Brazil last Wednesday (20). The app will allow users to centralize all their digital items such as credit and debit cards, vaccination vouchers, transport tickets and event tickets in one place.

Google Wallet is available for Android and WearOS, so it can be used on mobile phones and smartwatches. In addition, from within the app, people will be able to make payments using Google Pay.

The project was launched in May under the name Wallet for the USA. The idea is similar to the one that Apple came up with. Enabling people to keep all their cards in one place, including bank payment cards, movie tickets, loyalty cards, transport tickets, and even proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

Where to use Google Wallet

Among the digital items available on Google Wallet are a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Department of Health through Datasus and concert tickets issued by Ingresso.com. In total, we have more than 15 partners in Brazil, including banks, card issuers, brands and others. Big event for Ingresso.com. Through the application, the user will have access to a ticket for this year’s Rock in Rio concert days.

It is important to note that Google operates with the utmost in user privacy and security. Therefore, it offers detailed settings according to your preferences. Items of a strictly personal nature, such as a Covid-19 vaccination voucher, will never be shared without permission.

And if your phone is lost or stolen, you can find, lock or wipe your device with Find My Device. The information stored in the wallet is protected by Android and can only be accessed with a password, pattern, or biometrics.
