We’ve been hearing rumors for a few weeks about the first tablet in Xiaomi’s Redmi series, and it seems finally starting to see the light. The Redmi Pad (temporary name some media have given it) has surfaced in an image that shows us its rear design.

The photo comes from a user of the Chinese social network Weibo, and the person who took it says: Very similar to Vivo PadIt’s a tablet that was introduced in China in April and has yet to reach other markets.

What do we know so far about the Redmi Pad?

We can already learn about various aspects of the tablet from the image. The first is its material, which will almost certainly be metallic. Then there is the module in the upper left corner, a single camera this looks like 8MP (although not fully appreciated) and much in the way of Xiaomi Redmi mobiles.

The photo itself does not give more, but the device has already received several certifications in China and they confirm it. 5G connectivity and a possible 67W charger.

The Xiaomiui page also states that the processor of this new tablet may be a MediaTek and that we will have a Pro variant in the futurebut the system will be MIUI Lite dedicated to below average power products.

However, there are four tablets Xiaomi is working on at the same time, as soon we will see all three new models of the Mi Pad 6 (standard, Pro and Pro 5G). We hope to learn more about the Redmi Pad in the short term, as India expects its launch soon.
