Borusan Lojistik Hackathon Begins

For those who say: “I know digitization in logistics best”

Borusan Lojistik, one of the companies of the Borusan Group, is taking its journey, which it continues with the mission of providing customer-specific solutions, to the next level with the claim to bring innovative digital solutions to the logistics industry. With the Hackathon competition, it adds new ideas and new names to the digitization journey in the logistics sector.

Now it’s the young people’s turn to make a difference with their digital solutions in logistics!

The aim of the competition is to code a prototype by generating new ideas that will digitize the logistics industry. Teams participating in the competition, which is scheduled to take place in the online environment, will face a problem related to data analytics, big data or machine learning and are expected to come up with a solution within a limited time.

Anyone who does not work at Borusan Group and is interested in the logistics sector can participate in the Hackathon with their team by filling in the registration form on the website. The finalist teams that make it through the pre-selection will receive a case study and will be asked to find a solution for this case within 1.5 days. Finalist teams are determined on the basis of the evaluations by a team of experts.

In the Hackathon, where the finalist teams will give online presentations to the jury, two criteria will be judged: “presentation” and “technical performance”.

Applications for the Hackathon, where participation is free, must be submitted no later than April 20.

The jury of the competition consists of:

  6. Oğuzhan Aygören: Faculty Member of Boğaziçi University and Director of Bright Entrepreneurship Center
  7. Reha Argaç: Borusan Lojistik Information Technologies and R&D deputy general manager
  8. Semih ncedayı: Doğuş Teknoloji General Manager
  9. Serdar Erçal: General Manager of Borusan Logistics Services

Award details

In the competition; The winning team will receive a cash prize of TL 25,000 and one2one 6 Sessions mentorship by Borusan Lojistik’s management team.

The second team will be provided with a cash prize of TL 20,000 and needs-based consultations with recruiting professionals.

The third team will be provided with a 10,000 TL cash prize and needs-based consultations with recruiting professionals.

With all the teams that made it to the final“Technology talks to senior executives from Microsoft and Borusan Lojistik”Microsoft Technology Center Tour (virtual) will be given to the top 3 teams.
