The Meta-owned app will run on a new feature that will allow users to Save temporary messages which are sent to their special section, even if the message is deleted from the chat after the time of the person who sent it.

In this regard, the messaging platform is enabled For the first time the use of temporary notices in November 2020, starting with a default period of 7 days, After which all data sent to other contacts under this modality will be deleted. A year later, the company allowed this time to be set to 24 hours and 90 days.

These so-called temporary messages have been positively received by users of the platform since its launch, Well, it’s time to discuss them oncewhich is defined by the sender in all contacts, some or only for a specific group or person, These messages will be permanently deleted from the correspondence.

However, some users of the messaging service want to save their entire conversation history, even if it’s only temporary messages, so Meta developers are creating a new feature that allows you to save this type and other It will be available for beta versions of Android, iOS and Whatsapp Web in the coming days.

However, WABetaInfo, a portal known for reporting on all app news, reports that in some beta versions of the platform The configuration already includes a section that allows you to save received messages as temporary.

Similarly, the news site shared a screenshot in which you can read that WhatsApp emphasizes that anyone can save or delete temporary messages received, and that in the case of groups, administrators have the right to limit or configure these possibilities. .

Regarding access to this feature, For now, it is known that these types of messages can be viewed from a specific section called “Saved Messages” which will be organized for this purpose in the information section of chats.

As with most of the information that leaks about updates to the popular messaging service, it is not yet known when this option will be available in beta versions and in a massive way for all users to test.

But that’s not the only update coming to WhatsApp, as it’s also planned to let people decide if they want to show an “online” status. And it will be as easy as accessing the privacy settings and unchecking the setting.

And this is because WhatsApp has always been careful with updates keeping people’s privacy in mind and improving their experience on the platform. Now, the other most anticipated feature is the one that will let you hide your ‘online’ status so that your contacts don’t know if you’re available or not.

However, once again WABetaInfo was the portal responsible for announcing this next update which is already being tested in WhatsApp for Android 2.22.16.12 beta versions. Therefore, users hope that it will be available for all editions and operating systems very soon.

At the moment, if you want to prevent other people from knowing whether you are online or not, you have to resort to other solutions such as tricks and third-party applications, but what is known is that in a very short time this option will be available to everyone and with a very simple configuration.

And it is that, as announced by the aforementioned site, these new features will be available from a new menu called “Recent and Online”, which is nothing more than an update of the already known privacy settings, but now it will allow you to decide whether they can see or not The rest of your contacts when you’re connected.

In addition, this new tool will offer two more options, one will enable the status display for everyone and the other will allow you to configure the last connection time.

In other words, if the platform is configured so that only specific contacts can see the last connection time, only they will be able to know whether you are online or not. Also, if no one can access the app while it’s open, they also don’t know if you’re currently online or not.

However, the official release date of this new update is still unknown, as although it is expected soon, this feature was introduced stealthily and without warning in the beta versions, implying that it is still under development. Therefore, in order to know everything that is happening on WhatsApp, you need to install this edition.
