AMD confirms and releases Noise Suppression

Just a few days ago, AMD accidentally leaked that it was working on Noise Suppression, a technology to “clean up” sound similar to RTX Voice. The technology company accidentally published presentation video of this technology And while it didn’t take long to be taken down, it stayed online long enough to be found, downloaded and captured by users who then posted it on various social internet platforms.

AMD removed the video (or maybe just hid it), but knowing that the noise cancellation information was already public, decided to publish information on how to enable this feature on the site as soon as it was available. A measure that already made us imagine that AMD won’t take too long to release it, although it didn’t indicate when it would happen, which made us wonder when it would happen.

We already discussed it back then, RTX Voice is already over two years old, so AMD should not delay the release of Noise Suppression, all the more so considering that based on the presentation video, it seemed that its development had already been completed, and therefore the choice of the launch date only responded to strategic reasons. So we suggested that Noise Suppression should be launched between the end of August and the beginning of September at the latest.

The good news is that AMD got it done even faster than we thought, to the point where it didn’t even take a week. And so it is that from the hands of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1, AMD has officially introduced and released Noise Suppression which is therefore now available to all users who download the latest version of AMD drivers.

Like NVIDIA technology, AMD Noise Suppression relies on built-in artificial intelligence features provide a real-time audio cleaning system that will make our output signal much cleaner, especially if there is background noise, some kind of echo or reverberation, etc. Whether you want to video conference, record or even stream, the Noise Reduction function analyzes the signal in real time time and using an algorithm based on deep learning, it is able to identify the voice and separate it from the rest of the sounds. cleaner, be it input or output.

Noise suppression is supported on Ryzen 5000 chipsd and later systems, as well as Radeon RX 6000 series and later.
