In other words, all previous generations were left without the ability to use noise cancellation technology with which AMD responds to NVIDIA’s RTX Voice. Something that we might at first attribute to the need for some RDNA2 function, but actually seems to be more of a commercial decision than a technical one.

Since only a few days have passed since the official arrival of Noise Suppression and some unofficial drivers, NimeZ, available for Terascale, GCN and Polaris-Vega-Navi GPUs, They already have a new version that brings noise cancellation support for all these architectures.
Support is not perfect, some users reported that when trying to use noise reduction on systems with pre-RDNA2 GPUs, they encountered a buzzing effect that made the feature unusable in their cases. However, it can be a very good option for others if they want to use this new feature on systems that were not at least a priori compatible with it.
