Intel plans to release the Wi-Fi 7 standard by 2024. The source says that the data processing speed of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) will be twice that of Wi-Fi 6E, i.e. 5.8 Gbps.
We are currently developing Intel Wi-Fi 802.11be to achieve Wi-Fi Alliance certification, and by 2024 this technology will appear on laptops. We expect mass adoption in 2025
Wi-Fi 7.6 will be distinguished by a more stable bandwidth at 6 GHz and will support speeds of up to 36 Gbps when working with data. It was also previously reported that Wi-Fi 7 will double the maximum channel width (to 320 MHz) and offer higher order modulation with 4kQAM.
In addition, another important feature of Wi-Fi 7 will be the ability to manage and therefore optimize the different spectrum bands available. This function will be referred to as multi-link operation (MLO). MLO allows devices to use the spectrum of several channels simultaneously.
