As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.

“Instagram launched Reels in 2020. This function has become popular in the world, but here it did not work to its full potential. In the coming weeks, all videos under 15 minutes will receive the Reels creative tools. Instagram Music appeared in 2018. But it was not available for Ukrainian users. We can now add music to stories in a few clicks from Instagram’s extensive music library,” said Fedorov.

According to him, the team of the Ministry of Digitization has been negotiating with Meta management for the launch of these functions for more than a year. Finally, they can be used by all Ukrainians. “Now there will be more content from Ukraine. That means more people in the world will learn about the courage of our people,” he said.

Fedorov thanked Meta for this important step and for supporting Ukraine. “Hopefully we will soon forget about the problems with moderation of Ukrainian content,” he said.

As reported by Ukrinform, in July, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation asked Meta company to improve monitoring of Ukrainian content to prevent Ukrainian bloggers from being removed and blocked on social networks.
