Late last week, lead Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the iPhone 14 will be Apple’s first flagship device to be manufactured outside of China at launch. There are even rumors that the new model will be produced in India.
While there is still no official explanation from the company, the insider pointed out that India has been responsible for producing some of the best iPhone devices in the past. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 devices were produced in the country but never launched, Kuo said. Prior to this, production outside of China was carried out a few months after the devices appeared on the market.
However, an insider reported that Apple seems to be aware of the shortage of manufacturing capacity in the Indian industry. However, the top management of the company sees this change as “important brand”. Kuo said the company “trying to reduce the geopolitical impact on supply and sees the Indian market as the next key growth engine”.
If the rumors are true, production of the iPhone 14 devices in India is expected to start with the most basic version, the 6.1-inch model. Four models are expected to be announced by Apple, while the remaining three are still in production in China.
Expected release of iPhone 14

The proximity of the presentation of Apple’s new generation products, several rumors have captured the market. According to a leak this week, the new iPhone devices will not see significant price increases compared to the previous generation. According to information released this week, the iPhone 14 may not go up in price compared to the iPhone 13.
Insider Mark Gurman has already revealed that the devices will undergo a small $100 adjustment. However, there is a possibility that Apple will consider not changing the prices of next generation devices. However, confirmation comes only with the presentation of the iPhone 14, which should take place in September.
Aside from the price, other information that has been circulating on the internet is about improving the cameras. Another insider revealed that the next generation of Apple devices will come with seven-lens lenses. The goal is to improve the quality of the camera on all next generation devices.
Despite indications of a seven-lens lens for next generation devices, it is still unknown if all cameras of all models will receive a system that improves photo quality. This is because in the current line – iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – only the main camera has these components.
Continuation after commercial
Another rumor that surfaced this week was about the screens that will be used in the iPhone 14. The information indicated that Apple’s next lineup will use different materials in OLED screens. However, the materials will be of lower quality than the previous generation provided by Samsung. The goal is to help the company reduce the cost of manufacturing devices.
