If we learned a week ago today about the first desktops with Intel Arc graphics that could hit the international market, several systems assembled by ASUS and MSI, today we know of another of the greats also joining the international expansion of Intel graphics adapters, which are only available in small quantities in very specific Asian markets so far, while the rest of the world awaits with great interest.

Specifically, as we can read in Videocardz, lThe third technology to join this movement is Acer with the Acer N50-640 reviewa gaming system placed between the basic and mid-range, which in the latest configuration includes an Intel Core i5-12400F, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 500 GB of SSD storage and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, although it is also possible to find another version that mounts a GeForce GT 1030.

And it is because, as we can read on the said website, Acer is already accepting pre-orders for the new Acer N50-640 configurations, in which we can choose between the Intel Arc Alchemist A380, which we have already seen in the ASUS and MSI teams, but also with the Arc A310. The team file can be found on Acer’s site, but more interestingly, this Acer N50-640 with Intel A380 appeared on the listing of French retailer Boulanger.

It will still be necessary to wait, yes, because according to the seller’s website this team will only be available between October 8th and 12thdepending on the store chosen for this purpose. However, customers who want it can already reserve it, and if you’re considering it, its price is €949.99which doesn’t seem like a bad price considering we’re talking about a top-of-the-line graphics card for this first generation Intel Arc.

Over the past few weeks we have been able to hear quite a bit of noise about the status of the Intel Arc Alchemist project, with voices even suggesting that Intel would cancel the project due to intractable technical problems (at least for this first generation). It’s undeniable that there are some delays for whatever reason or reasons, but in my opinion (which is just an opinion) it’s hard to believe that big manufacturers like ASUS, MSI and Acer are already pointing to the arrival of the expected arc if there really is so much in the background sea.

So it seems that September and October will be key months to know what this first generation Intel Arc is all about. I think there may indeed have been some problems, but I also have the impression (and hope I’m not wrong) that the situation is not as extreme as some are making it out to be, and that the Alchemist will make its global debut shortly. , thereby enriching the graphics adapter market.
