The message referring to the Iranian Space Agency said, “The Khayyam Earth remote sensing satellite, which will be launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome on August 9 with the help of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, belongs to Iran.”
It was emphasized that all orders regarding the management and operation of this satellite will be carried out and given in the territory of the Islamic geography by Iranian experts immediately after the launch, “subordinate to the space bases belonging to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies”.
