The high-tech drone Vector is designed for aerial reconnaissance. It flies with virtually no noise and transmits high-definition video over the air over an encrypted data link, promoting accurate situational awareness.
Vector is a vertical takeoff and landing fixed-wing drone. The UAV does not require a launch catapult or runway. Vector wingspan 2.8 m, flight speed up to 72 km/h. According to manufacturer Quantum-Systems, the drone can operate at wind speeds of up to 12 m/s.
The Vector system comes in a carrying case that can be carried by one person. It only takes two minutes to set up the UAV for flight. The ability to operate in difficult terrain combined with extremely low noise (engine cut-off mode) makes Vector suitable for aerial reconnaissance operations.
The ground system is integrated into a tablet computer and, together with the mission software, allows you to fully control the aircraft, recording all data received using sensors.
Encrypted IP communication sends video streams up to 15+ km. Flight time is up to 120 minutes. With the help of an additional long-range ground station, the range of the system can be increased to 25 km.
The company Quantum-Systems reports that training to use their drone usually takes no more than four days.
