You only remember two days ago we talked about concerns coming to Twitter, as shareholder and director of Elona Muska? The reasons for mistrust were that one of the specialties of Tesla’s founders and SpaceX is to have a mouth as big as a mailbox. We’ve reviewed his tweets and statements on more than one occasion, so we won’t repeat them, but you certainly don’t have to make too much memory to remember any of these episodes where he played.
A) Yes, his arrival on Twitter promised not to be calm or quiet. Given that this social network has become one of its main communication tools for some time, one can only hope that it will go on when it has control. We already had the first sample of this with a survey on the function of editing tweets, which was answered by the social network itself, which confirmed that it had been worked on for a long time and stated that no, Musk’s survey had absolutely nothing to do with it. Come on, what is called all life means earth.
In such a situation, another person, many other people, might think that they stepped on the brakes and chose a lower profile. But of course I repeat, we are talking about Elon Musk, a person who has little discretion and, at least sometimes seems to think things through before saying it. So he could be expected to continue his plans to completely change Twitter, or at least to leave his indelible mark on Twitter’s history.
In just a few days, he had opened several fronts, some with more meaning, others with less. We will check them in this order.

Twitter Blue
The paid version of Twitter is currently not a particularly attractive option for users. We have already raised it then and now we can repeat it: it is a proposal that many users cannot match. To address this, Elon Musk suggests a few points:
- Reduce the price to about two dollars a month.
- Add a badge to your accounts with Twitter Blue.
- Allow payment of the fee using dogecoin.
The first point seems pretty reasonable to me, the second … well, it’s true that a lot of people like badges, so it might work. As for the third, we already know Musk’s relationship to this cryptocurrency, which he considers to be a little less than the founding father, and which already hindered him last year, which coincides with his performance on Saturday Night Live.
Absence celebrity
Sounds more like rage than an argument, but hey, it’s Musk. The fact is that he was also asked if Twitter is in decline, which is based on the low activity of some celebrity accounts, such as Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, who, although they have a social network account, rarely use it. Is the success and validity of a social network measured by the activity of the personalities who use it? I don’t think so, but who knows …
Turn Twitter headquarters in San Francisco into a shelter for immigrants
If the premise seems absurd to you (and it really is), you’ll be all the more surprised why he’s not only considering it, but has even published a survey to find out the views of his followers. And the key is in the text «Turn Twitter’s headquarters in SF into a homeless shelter, because no one will show up anyway«. In other words, Musk seems to consider teleworking hostile, either under normal circumstances or because of the COVID-19 security protocols.
I wonder what he would think, of course, if Tesla, SpaceX, and any other type of Musk-related space proposed to donate their facilities (those that have Musk’s exclusive use) to charity, because the time spent driving while blasting them and posting absurd tweets obviously don’t use them. I, the other, would vote yes with both hands.
