OPPO officially introduced its new smartwatch Watch 3 Prothe first device in the world based on the new processor Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1It was created using 4 nanometer technology. Also, the manufacturer decided to go further by releasing a smartwatch with a display using LTPO technology – dynamic frame rate adjustment is supported within fairly wide limits. The company said that the screen refresh rate drops to 1Hz when the clock screen is not used – so it’s possible to save up to 15% of the battery compared to a regular AMOLED display.
At the same time, the diagonal of the screen is impressive – 1.91 inches, a resolution of 496×378 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m2. Of course, there are Always On Display support and plenty of watch faces to implement this feature effectively. And the watch works not only on the basis of the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 (this is the main chip), but also on the Apollo 4 Plus – this is an interesting solution that allows you to save even more energy. The thing is, the Apollo 4 Plus chip kicks in when the clock is idle or in scenarios where not much processing power is needed.
Accordingly, the autonomy of the OPPO Watch 3 Pro is really good – if you activate all the functions of the device, including eSIM, NFC, real-time heart rate monitoring and more, the device will work on a single charge for 5 days. But if you do not use the gadget so actively and turn off some functions that the owner does not use, then the battery life will be up to 15 days. That’s a significant number for a watch with such a large screen. In addition, it even supports fast charging technology – in ten minutes over the wire, the watch receives energy for 24 hours of active operation.
For sports fans, the manufacturer has implemented up to a hundred training modes, so the Watch 3 Pro with sensors for heart rate, SpO2 and EKG allows you to monitor your health at a fairly high level. And considering the fact that the weight of the device is only 37 grams, doing sports with the watch in your hand will be extremely comfortable.
The OPPO Watch 3 Pro is very expensive – the manufacturer charges $280 for the rubber strap version and $295 for the leather strap analogue. However, the price is more than justified for the best processor, large screen and battery life.
