LG has announced a new TV that it’s promoting as the biggest OLED on the planet, but it stands out by offering a unique feature: 5.1 multi-channel sound without the need for built-in or external speakers.

LG is exhibiting a TV that has impressed locals and strangers alike at K-Display 2022 in South Korea. This is a new model with an OLED EX panel, which with its 97 inches diagonal is sold as “the biggest OLED on the planet”.

OLED EX technology combines compounds from deuterium and custom algorithms improve the stability and efficiency of the organic light emitting diode, thereby improving overall screen performance and especially brightness levels that can be increased by up to 30% compared to existing OLED panels.

In addition to improved brightness levels, the use of EX technology also reportedly allows the display to achieve “perfect blacks” and vivid colors, which is what these panels excel at. LG Display has also updated its designs with this technology, reducing the bezel thickness from the original 6mm OLED to 4mm.

Although the massive size, 8K resolution and image quality are already excellent, the panel’s most notable innovation is its use of technology. CSO movie (Cinematic Sound OLED). But no one likes this LG OLED EX, which will also be launched in two smaller 48- and 42-inch models.

Another type of product that was in demand at the fair was the range Transparent LG OLED panels They look like something from a sci-fi movie. These panels will be used to display advertising and art segments in the future.

These screens look like standard OLED panels when in use, but turn transparent when turned off. They emit less heat than LED panels, making them ideal for mounting on a wall, for example.
