SpaceX’s CEO tweeted out the company’s milestone achievement that takes it one step closer to conducting the first orbital test of the Starship rocket. This Wednesday (10th) missile passed static fire test the current prototype of the Booster 7 super-heavy propulsion engine. Only two engines were involved in firing tests so that engineers could observe the operation of the rocket.
At present, the Starship and the Super Heavy engine are considered to be the largest rocket in the world at 120 meters high. The Booster 7 prototype is powered by 33 Raptor engines capable of generating over 7,500 tons of thrust, all of which is needed to lift the Starship. After a successful launch, SpaceX requests permission to launch orbital flights. Below you can see a video of a few seconds from the test.
The SpaceX CEO posted a meme shortly after retweeting the video of the Starship rocket fire test linking the success of the test to something sexy and erotic. In fasting, we see a priest praying with the phrase “I’m trying to live a normal, productive life”while a woman in a provocative pose seduces him, with “Static Fire” written between the legs. The post notes, despite the controversial humor, that Musk is happy with the results.
However, he recently commented Full Submit Podcastthat the path to the first orbital flight of the Starship will be long and difficult “we might have explosions along the way”Musk commented. The project is complex, and Musk says there can be setbacks along the way. He also indicated that it would take 6 to 12 months to complete all of the tests that would lead to the starship’s first orbital flight.
SpaceX breaks a new record by completing three launches and takeoffs in just 36 hours.
The Falcon 9 rocket also broke the record for reuse and 100th flight.
