The app will add more reactions

The app notifies users that they need to turn off the temporary messages option to store files such as images, videos or GIFs in these chats.
This limitation has just been implemented, so users who want to save temporary chat files have time to do so before this latest update to the messaging app arrives.
While WhatsApp rolled out temporary messages that disappear after a certain period of time at the end of 2020, in the summer of 2021 it introduced a function that makes photos and videos disappear immediately after viewing.
How to turn ad hoc chats on or off
If you want to activate the function in an individual chat, you need to open the conversation, tap on the name of the person, then “Temporary messages”, then “Continue” and finally “Activated”. To disable the option, repeat these steps but hit “Disabled”.
The app lets you choose how long after messages are deleted in ephemeral chats.
If you want to enable the function in a group chat, you have to follow the same steps, only the admin can do it. So whoever is running the group will need to open the WhatsApp group chat, tap the name of the group, then select “Temporary messages”, continue and select “Enabled”. To disable it, you need to do the same, but at the end hit “Disabled”.
