The State Department is offering a $10 million reward to anyone who provides information about the Russian government-linked cybercriminal organization Conti, which was accused of committing thousands of transactions in 2019 alone.

The Conti group, also known as the Wizard Spider, consists of five people with the nicknames Target, Reshaev, Professor, Tramp and Dandis.
The State Department released an image of the person believed to be the Target. He wears a black jacket, a white beanie hat, and appears to be holding a bottle of vodka or other beverage.
Conti has targeted law enforcement, 911 dispatch centres, municipal governments and other critical infrastructure, typically stealing personal files and demanding ransom for their return.
Earlier this year, the group infiltrated 27 government offices in Costa Rica and demanded a $20 million ransom.
