“On Tuesday, we announced that Elon would be appointed to the board of directors, subject to the verification and official acceptance of his biographical data. Elon’s appointment to the council was supposed to take effect on April 9, but that morning Elon announced that he would no longer be a member of the council,” Agraval wrote.
He stressed that Twitter always values the contributions of its shareholders, whether they are board members or not.
“Elon is our largest shareholder and we will remain open to his offers,” Agraval said.
As Ukrinform reported, Musk bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter last week.
He also said he looks forward to working on the company’s board of directors to “make significant improvements to Twitter’s work in the coming months.”
