The latest data from Google on the distribution of Android versions shows that Android 11 (Android R) currently has the largest user base. About 27% of users stay on this operating system.
It is followed by Android 10 (Android Q) with 18.8% and Android 9 (Android P) with 14.5%. Although Android 12 (Android S) is almost a year old, this OS is only in fourth place with a score of 13.5%. That means only one-eighth of active Android devices today use Android 12.
Perhaps thanks to IoT devices and car headunits, the Android 4.x operating system, released more than 10 years ago, still retains its user base and occupies 1.2% of the market.
The release of Android 13 should be in September this year, and the first smartphones of this operating system should be the Google Pixel 7, which will be released in October. Source
