The Apple 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference will be held from June 6-10. The Cupertino-based company is expected to present the latest versions of operating systems for iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac at the event. Bloomberg’s Mark Gourmet provided new data on iOS 16.
iOS 16 is codenamed Sydney and won’t feature a major redesign of the interface, but insiders are still calling the new OS a major update as it’s expected to include significant improvements “including updates to messages and new health monitoring features.”
Apple is also working on a mixed reality headset that could launch later this year or early next year. The beta version of iOS 16 is expected to include various headset information. It is also reported that the device will run under its own operating system rOS.
According to preliminary information on iOS 16, Apple may provide “large widgets” to house multiple widgets in one large container, so you don’t have to scroll through them.
Apple may also introduce a new iPadOS multitasking interface, and watchOS 9, codenamed Kincaid, may receive major updates for tracking activity and health. In addition, Apple may also release several new Mac models during the event. Source
