O whatsapp is preparing another feature for its group tool. O messaging app launched an option in the beta version that group administrators approve people who want to join the group. Since it is still under development, there is little information about what the functionality will be, but some changes in whatsapp can be assumed.

Admins approve new WhatsApp group members

There are currently three ways to add new members to groups in whatsapp: By invitation link – which admins can manually send to other members from their contact list by clicking the “add member” button or by clicking the “add to group” button in the member’s contact sharing section. The last two options require “indirect approval” administratorsin which they decide whether to perform the full function of adding a new member.

In the option of joining a group by invitation link, a contact is added without going through the “sieve” of administrators. And this new version tool Beta will change this “hole” in the group. According to the press issued WABetaInformationadmins will have the option to enable a role in which group membership requests must be approved administrators. According to the site itself, there are no other pages related to the new system yet, but it is expected that there will be a section in the group description to admins accept new memberssimilar to what happens on Instagram and Twitter when a user asks to follow a closed account.

Admins can delete posts for everyone

Recently whatsapp released a tool for administrators delete messages for everyone that were sent by members Group. Previously, each user was responsible for deleting messages already sent. With more features focused on the group experience, whatsapp ceases to be more and more messaging app getting bigger and bigger social network in fact – it simply should not turn into tik tak.
