The company Highland Systems, founded by the Ukrainians, has created a new electric self-charging unmanned submarine called “Kronos”.

This is a hybrid boat with a unique hull design using “STEALTH” technology, which allows you to significantly reduce fuel consumption, increase the boat’s maximum speed and provide excellent stability.

The developers assure that such a submarine can be actively used in combat missions. For example, at the request of the customer, up to six small torpedoes can be mounted on the boat – and the customer can choose which torpedoes to install.

The company is currently negotiating the installation of six Leonardo Black Scorpion torpedoes on an underwater drone.

Tactical and technical characteristics of the underwater submarine “Kronos”:

• Width – 7.4 m.
• Length – 9 m.
• Height – 2.2 m.
• Speed ​​in water – 80 km/h.
• The speed under water is 50 km/h.
• Working depth is 150 meters.
• The critical diving depth is 250 meters.
• Time spent underwater is 36 hours in battery mode, 18 hours in generator mode, and 54 hours in hybrid mode.

A captain-operator and 10 paratroopers can be placed on the “Kronos” submarine, which provides a comfortable position and underwater exit from the submarine.

The boat also implements remote control mode at a distance of more than 250 km through closed channels. Under water, such a boat can carry 3.5 tons of cargo.

The “Kronos” submarine can perform a number of tasks in the “drone” mode, from transporting cargo to defeating the enemy with torpedoes. The sub has folding wings to control underwater while navigating in place.
