– If you are in the temporarily occupied area, you must show the enemy that you are not in danger. There should be nothing on your smartphone that can endanger you. Depending on the operating system of the device, it is necessary to mask the information, – said Mikhail.
The specialist added that it is extremely important to have two smartphones – one connected to the mobile network, and the other in flight mode so as not to transmit any information. The first is used as a modem, the second is almost invisible to devices trying to monitor your activity.
– Camouflage programs should not look suspicious. Yes, if you use the Signal messenger for communication, I recommend replacing the service icon with the calculator program or the weather forecast icon – advises Koltsov.
Mykhailo also said that if the smartphone is confiscated, the photo gallery and messengers will be checked. There is no need to delete all messages and channels by leaving the communication services blank. If there is a risk of taking away the device – it is recommended to subscribe to channels with funny pictures and jokes. The gallery should also be filled with home photos.
If you need to pass an enemy checkpoint, it is recommended to download a backup of your smartphone to cloud storage and log out of your account, and then log in from a neutral backup account. After passing the checkpoint, you can download all the information back to the device.
