The release of the new Windows 11 brought not only the update of one of the most important developments of Microsoft, but also the company’s refusal to support the previous operating system – Windows 10.
Here and now, the company has published a post in which they remind them that support for “dozens” of seven versions will be discontinued soon. These are Home, Pro, Pro Education and Pro for Workstations in the 20H2 version and Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise in the 1909 update.
These are the versions of the operating system that will stop receiving security updates from May 2022. The company advised its users to upgrade to Windows 11.
Recall that Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until January 13, 2032. However, this only applies to the single version of the system – Windows 10 IoT Corporate LTSC 2021 (version 21H2).
