“Today, August 16, 2022, the most powerful hacker attack since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation took place on the official website of the state-owned company “NAEK Energoatom. Russian Federation,” the message writes.
It was recorded that the attack was carried out by the Russian group “People’s Cyber Army” using 7.25 million bot users. During the attack, the hackers simulated hundreds of millions of images of Energoatom’s homepage for three hours.
The company noted that the attack did not significantly affect the operation of the site and remained invisible to users.
As reported, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the Security Service has neutralized more than 1.2 thousand cyber incidents and cyber attacks against the information systems of state officials and critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
