Europe is developing a new JFS-M missile that can hit targets at a distance of 500 km. The missile can be launched using the M270 and HIMARS systems.

The length of the rocket is 2.6 m, it belongs to the winged class: after launch it spreads its wing with a span of 1.5 m. With an initial mass of 250-300 kg, the rocket is capable of developing speed. up to 1000 km/h. Two JFS-M missiles fit in a HIMARS cassette.

In the air, the missile moves at low altitudes, making it invisible to air defense systems. The JFS-M missile can be used to destroy standard infrastructure. Not suitable for destroying “heavy armored bunkers”.

The rocket’s trajectory is being adjusted. The complex operator can change it after starting it.

The USA is also developing a missile for the HIMARS – PrSM (precision strike missile), or high precision strike missile, which can have a range of up to 650 km.
