Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to educate a conscious generation in traffic. In this context, the game ‘Trafiko’ is designed for children to get traffic education and have fun. The game, which attracted a lot of attention from children and parents, has been updated. The game on paper has moved to the virtual world with the evolving technology.

UPDATED AND MOVED TO VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT

In the trainings organized by the Ministry of Transport, the children were informed about the meaning of road signs, the rules of walking on the sidewalk, the importance of safe passages and the necessity of wearing seat belts, and then the game ‘ Trafiko’ was presented as a gift. After the information, the children had the opportunity to repeat the information they had learned with the “Trafiko” training set by playing in a fun way. The ‘Trafiko’ game has been redesigned with the work of the Metropolitan. The game was recently added to the “App Store” and “Play Store” lists.

The game downloaded from the ‘App Store’ and ‘Play Store’ will start the registration process. Children choose an avatar by typing in their name and age. At the beginning of the game there is a training track, workouts, games and evaluation tab. ‘Trafiko’ has been redesigned for the digital world and offers many different activities for children.

LEARNS TRAFFIC RULES

Children who choose the training track will have the opportunity to fly a drone in the virtual world designed for them and where there are road signs. Kids entering the Education tab learn traffic lights, road signs, bike rules, and travel rules.

DIFFERENT GAMES

In the Games tab, 4 different games are waiting for the kids. In the traffic sign game, children try to complete the traffic sign given to them. The game gives children dexterity and visual memory. In the pedestrian game, the children try to finish the different tracks prepared for them at the right time and with the right traffic signs. In the bike game, the children move on the track prepared for them without touching the traffic signs. In the motor vehicle game, the kids move forward with the vehicle and try to complete the track by correctly answering the questions posed to them.
