Ryzen 7000 from AMD since the aforementioned generation, they have sparked interest in motherboards focused on processors of this brand will introduce the new socket AM5which represents a change that breaks the compatibility offered by AM4.

Here again we find a large catalog of gaming-oriented motherboards from ASUS, GIGABYTE and other manufacturers. We recently reiterated existence three models of ASUS motherboards from the Republic Of Gamers (ROG) and TUF Gaming seriesboth aimed at video game enthusiasts.

The first of these plates is ROG Crosshair X670E Hero, which aims to stand out, as with previous generations, by combining performance, cutting-edge features and an impressive aesthetic design. Its aesthetic spectacle features include Polymo lighting in the input-output shield integrated in a microstructural matrix of light and color capable of supporting two RGB patterns.

As is common for a product of its kind, the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero has excellent heatsinks that are responsible for minimizing the generated heat and a wide range of headers to configure the cooling according to the user’s needs.

At the connection level, it brings un a pair of PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for graphics cards and three additional M.2 slots with PCIe 5.0 connections. For sound, a quad DAC ES9218PQ ESS has been built in to offer the best quality in this regard. At the connectivity level, they exist Wi-Fi 6E for wireless connection and two USB 4 in the back as a connection interface for peripherals and other devices that also need to be USB 4 to really take advantage of the transfer speeds and bandwidth.

The ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Wi-Fi it is another ASUS model compatible with Ryzen 7000 and ready for contexts in which very demanding processes are carried out (video games are usually thought of, but the characteristics of these products also make them attractive for video editing, for example) . This model shares many important features of the previous model, such as thermal pads for PCIe 5.0 SSDs in the M.2 format. In addition, the PCIe Slot Q-Release button facilitates the removal of the graphics card, which, especially in high-end models, becomes quite large and heavy.

Finally here we are Wi-Fi TUF Gaming X670E-Plus, lower in scope but not necessarily less competent depending on the context. There is an integrated I/O shield, Wi-Fi support, a PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 slot for a graphics card and four M.2 slots, which are divided into one PCIe 5.0, two PCIe 4.0 and one PCIe 3.0. It includes a wide range of Q-Design features, including an intuitive Q-LED diagnostic matrix that provides quick information on the status of your build.

All motherboards use PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 RAM memory. The last one is practically mandatory because AMD Ryzen 7000 processors will only support this memory format, while previous generations also supported DDR4 due to the extremely high price of DDR5 modules at the time. Another feature is the support of two front USB 3.2 ports, to which in the case of the X670E Hero is added a front USB Type-C port with the possibility of charging up to 60 watts via Quick Charge 4+.

As we can see, ASUS is preparing for the future AMD Ryzen 7000 processors, which have created great expectations and are expected to be a good answer to Intel’s Alder Lake generation and a more than competent rival to the Raptor Lake.
