As he reported channel 24, Mykhailo Fedorov and Janusz Ceszynskii jointly announced this at a briefing on Monday, August 22. Previously, the government allowed the use of data from Action Abroad and approved the country list.

Interstate document sharing is not only the next step in the development of digital relations between Ukraine and Poland, but also the first case in the world where the two countries exchanged documents on government applications.
– said the Ministry of Statistics.

When will the service start

According to Poland’s Secretary of State for Digitization, Janusz Cieszynski, the full electronic document exchange functionality is already in place. The ministries are now working together to launch the service by the end of 2022.

By the way, the first digital document – electronic residence document – has already appeared in the Polish city of Diya.

What will it give in practice?

Thanks to the cooperation of the two countries, Ukrainians who had to go to Poland thanks to the new functionality will be able to add a digital driver’s license and technical passport from Diya to the mObywatel application. That is, digital documents can be used on the same level as paper documents.
