The Morefine S600 wants to compete head-to-head with Intel’s most powerful NUC processors, and it’s inside Core i9-12900HKthe fastest mobile processor from the chip giant.

The mini-PC ‘party’ continues and there isn’t a week without news. If large desktop towers have died in the battle against laptops (in OEM sales) and the vast majority of users who still use them build and maintain them themselves with component updates, the compact segment continues to shine on desktops.

Size matters here, but small size. The Morefine S600 is slightly larger than the recently announced Intel NUC 12 PRO, but still very small with a boxy chassis that measures Dimensions 15 x 14 x 6.6 cm high and is made of aluminum and magnesium.

Its main engine is the Core i9-12900HK, a development that you will only see in the most powerful notebooks, as it is the fastest of the Mobile series that Intel has in its catalog. It has a TDP of 45 watts and offers 14 cores and 20 processing threads with a maximum frequency that reaches the limit of 5 GHz. Its integrated graphics is the latest generation Intel Iris Xe.

This compact includes two SODIMM slots with support for up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 memoryas well as space for three storage devices thanks to PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 slots for NVMe SSDs and a 2.5-inch bay for additional SATA or SSD hard drives.

Thanks to the included HDMI, Display Port and USB Type-C outputs, you can play content on up to three 4K displays at the same time. It features 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps Ethernet ports along with support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2in addition to six additional USB ports and matching audio ports.

The Morefine S600 features a cooling system based on a copper heatsink and fan for active cooling and will come with a 120W power supply. It will be able to use Windows and Linux operating systems and will be available in the coming weeks. No price was given, but given the price of the processor, it won’t be cheap.
