ScanEagle is an American unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing. It was created on the basis of the SeaScan drone, a commercial drone designed for surveillance.
The main task of the drone is to provide aerial reconnaissance and assist in the targeting of artillery and other weapons.
The total flight time of the drone reaches 24 hours, depending on the system configuration, the flight range is 100 km, it develops speed up to 139 km / h.
ScanEagle drone features:
The drone can be equipped with infrared or conventional cameras that attach to the nose of the UAV and rotate.
The ScanEagle complex includes a Sky Wedge catapult type pneumatic launcher, a Sky Hook landing craft and a small control station.
