Google will launch an information campaign to expose lies against Ukrainian refugees in the EU.
According to the Ukrinform correspondent, Reuters writes about it.
“Next week, Google’s subsidiary Jigsaw will launch a campaign against disinformation about Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, based on research by psychologists from two British universities,” the article says.
In collaboration with Jigsaw, psychologists from the universities of Cambridge and Bristol have created 90-second videos designed to “vaccinate” people against harmful content on social networks.
“Videos to show in ad blocks on your own platform Google Alongside Twitter, TikTok and Facebook, YouTube is designed to help people spot emotional manipulations and scapegoats in news headlines,” Reuters explains.
The purpose of this campaign is to “build resistance to anti-immigration narratives in partnership with local NGOs, scientists and experts in the field of disinformation.”
