The presentation of the Vision project, an ultra-precise recognition system of people and cars, which will significantly expand the functionality of the existing centralized video surveillance system in the Lviv region, took place at the Lviv OVA.

This was reported by the press service of the Lviv OVA, Ukrinform reported.

“As of now, 1,400 security cameras have been installed in the area to help investigate criminal offenses and find criminals. The Vision project, in which we have expanded the functionality of the region’s video surveillance system, provides digital analysis and processing of data from the region’s cameras. Data on vehicles is not only fast, but also can be found very quickly!There is also now a search for vehicles using artificial intelligence and augmented reality technologies.And most importantly: experts who will work with the integrated video surveillance system of the Lviv region will be able to receive data from other regions. So, if we have to deal with DRG, their movement is in the palm of our hand will happen, ”explained Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

According to Oleksandr Shlyakhovskyi, chief of the Main Directorate of National Police of Lviv Oblast, this project will help police officers accelerate the process of preventing, detecting and preventing new crimes.

“In a war situation, residents especially need a sense of security and safety. It is this software that will allow you to positively integrate all police actions. The development of analytical data allows us to unite with the person of the criminal in order to bring him to justice as soon as possible. Thanks to the introduction of this system, the Lviv region I believe the police can better ensure the safety of the residents,” added Shlyakhovsky.

After the presentation, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the head of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Lviv region and the CEO of the Lviv Informatics Cluster signed a Cooperation Agreement.

Lviv IT Cluster supports the Vision project and finances the purchase of the necessary system components. The project will be implemented by the Main Directorate of National Police in Lviv Oblast with the assistance of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
