Avata’s total weight is 410 grams. The drone has a battery with a capacity of 2,420 megaamps per hour. The duration of the drone flight does not exceed 18 minutes.
The drone also has a built-in camera with a 155-degree field of view. At the same time, the camera can take photos at 4K and 60 frames per second or 50/60/100/120 frames per second at 2.7K.
Avata has three modes of operation: “normal”, where the drone operates like any other DJI drone, hovering in place using satellite navigation or visual positioning systems.
“Manual Mode” (only available with DJI FPV Remote Control 2) is a mode where the user has full, unlimited control with the ability to adjust parameters.
And a ‘sport mode’, a ‘mix’ of the previous two, offers some of the essential safety features of ‘normal mode’ alongside some of the dynamic driving capabilities found in ‘manual mode’.
DJI Avata is now available in online stores. A copy costs $629. It will cost $1,388 with the remote control and glasses.
The company is asking $279 for two batteries and a charger.
