Twitter announced that a new feature on the platform called Podcasts, which will be integrated into the Spaces tab, where audio clips can now be shared, is coming to a group of users.

Reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong announced in early March that the company is working on a space that can host all audio content for Twitter users.

Now Twitter has announced that the feature is coming, which will be integrated into the Spaces section of the social network, an alternative that the company wants to “continue investing in sound creators,” according to a statement posted on its blog.

This section offers different sections where audio content is grouped by specific topics such as news, music or sports. It will also have other episodes featuring the most popular podcasts globally.

With this, Twitter announced that it will add podcasts that it thinks users will be interested in, to the recommendations section in a personalized way according to their activities on the social network.

In this way, when platform members interact with the publications of a channel, they will see the content related to the information in question in that area. However, listeners will be able to filter the type of content they want to receive podcasts.

This will be possible thanks to Twitter’s approval and approval buttons (thumbs up and down, respectively), similar to those currently found on the YouTube video platform.

Finally, Twitter announced that it will reorganize and redesign the Spaces tab with the integration of the new Podcasts tab, which will be visible to English-speaking users on iOS and Android.
